Natolie --- The bright sun sifted through the window's draperies, waking Natolie. Eyes the color of pale jade opened slowly, her arms reaching up and out of bed cloth to stretch her still resting muscles. With a brief yawn, she relaxed, just letting her sight roam the room she inhabited, "I should probably be getting up.." taking a deep breath as she said so, almost reluctant to leave the warmth of her covers.
Squirming back and forth for a moment, debating on what she was going to do, she finally caved in, flinging back the covers and letting her feet sidled off theside. Bare toes resting on cold, wooden floors as she grasped the slippers and placed each foot into one.
Then, standing up, she grabbed the silken robe that rested over the back of a chair, fastening it about her waist with a quick tie.
Lucian --- Lucian gathered his wits about him as he moved along the grounds of the Estate that he had been loitering in for a while now. He had yet to meet the Master of the grounds and was ready to do so, with half awake eyes of blue he glanced towards the Manner house. Sucking in a breath as the wind nipped at his being, but he should no signs of cold, even though he wore next to nothing at all.
A elegant Crimson Jacket that cut itself off at mid torso, with an enlarged cuffs and a collar that showed off his neckline well. His underclothes consisted on a single white shirt, buttoned and excessively frilled with a fairly fancy look to them. Even though it's style was an antiquity nowadays. His black riding boots tapped the floors as he moved towards the door, gritting his teeth as he began to smile to himself, he rapped his knuckles against the door very audibly.
With that he stood there, at a height of 6'2", his blue eyes taken aback by the blackened rings under them, shoulder length blond hair shifting lightly as the wind blew past. He waited, Angelic in feature but noticeably ill at ease or at least ill in some way or form. Upon his form held no weapons and all he had was a smile to guard his thoughts.
Natolie --- The echo of the man's rap pounded through the house, but though it could be heard nearly everywhere, Natolie could not. However, as she walked towards the door to the Main Hallway, having already gone through the Lady's Private Room, a servant stood there solemnly, "Well? Speak up, what do you want?" Aggravation gracing the tips of her tongue as she stood there, blocked by the girl.
"We have a visitor m'lady. Would you like me to show him in?" her voice quiet and mono toned, her eyes adverted as Natolie continued to watch her, "Very well.. Show him in," and with that she pushed past the girl and headed straight down the hall, her direction taking her towards the Lord and Lady's Washroom.
Lucian --- Lucian mere moments when a face open the door, the face was not that of nobility or such, but it was still a person. At least that was the theory as he smiled, his eyes glancing upon the individual. It was a Serving girl, timid and well spoken, she told him to follow her to the Den. Her mistress would be down shortly. Lucian nodded and followed without a seconds thought as he entered the Den he blinked at the room, it was well furnished yet seemed a tad empty all at the same time. Taking in a breath as he moved towards one side of the room where a old and dusty Mantle place stood.
He did not hear the Servant leave, he just remained there, smiling, his feet shifting and his body moving fluidly as if he were about to break into dance. He had yet to ask the Mistress' name but he believed first introductions to be fresh and unbeknownst. Keeping his head high, he moved a hand in a languid fashion as he brushed a strand of hair from his eyes. Dropping it to his black trousers, he patted them down before sighing lightly. What was he to do? he knew what he was looking for but he had not expected a situation such as this.
Natolie --- The washroom steamed as she opened the door, three elderly maiden's waiting for her as she walked through, the door sliding shut behind her. Slipping off her robe, letting it pool about her feet, she looked to each one before dipping a toe into the bathwater, "Shoo.. I will ring for you once I'm finished," commanding each one to leave as slowly she descended into the waters.
Pushing off from the edge of the rim, she swam towards the middle, the bath itself the size of an Olympic pool. Relaxing, the heat easing into her tense shoulders, the door to the washroom opened once more, "I thought I told you to..." her voice trailing off as she turned to see who had entered, "Oh it's you, did you let him in?" the girl bowing and then nodding her head in agreement.
"Very well, bring him up here and let me speak with him. He choose to come visiting at the wrong time, and I'm not in the mood to play Society Games"
Lucian --- Lucian had not waited long in the room where he was placed, the Girl came back once again a minute later and asked him to follow her. She had yet to answer why, except for the fact that he was being brought to the Estates Mistress and Lady. He wasn't the type to shrug, but he still wondered why she was bringing him upstairs, as they were getting closer and closer to personal areas where Guests usually tread lightly. The girl stopped by a door on the fourth floor and motioned him enter after knocking on the door itself.
Lucian did not believe their could be any ill placement of such and so entered without a thought in his head. What he witnessed was something that made his tired eyes open wide as the door closed behind him. His pupils moved lightly as he sucked in a breath, this was definitely not a good position to be in. He saw the Lady, she was bathing with nothing on but Gods gifts to her, the bubbles that shifted in the water were barely enough to keep his Imagination from straying as he began to feel faint. Shifting lightly as he swayed from one side to another, he dropped to one knee by the side of the bath, his hand nearly slipping into the water as he held the side of the bathtub.
He had nearly lost control of his body, falling into water or some such when that happened was basically a death wish, then again his abilities would help him. Yet why they had not now was beyond him, upon thinking like this, the water closest to him would begin to freeze slowly as the bath water began to grow fairly cold. Lucian still with a faltering smile upon his face, let his tired blue eyes register shock as this seemed to chain the event as the water began producing ice.
"Oh lord... I'm sorry... I... you surprised me... you should probably get out of the water now, I'll close my eyes if you wish..."
Not denying his hand in this, he just smiled lightly as he looked down at his hands, glancing upwards once to see where the Lady was but noticing once more that she was as well dressed as Eve in the Garden of Eden. Upon the force of willpower he held his abilities and his own illness at bay for now.
Natolie --- Wide eyed, she watched the ice slowly cover the whole of the bath water she was in. Arms out in the water, she pushed off towards the rim, taking each step just as daintily as she had when first entering, eyes still on the ice.
Reaching out for the robe, she fastened it about her waist once more, but not nearly as tight nor concealing as her anger began to simmer, "You WILL refrost that. I refuse to not have my bath," eyes fuming with disgust, her legs bare and breasts nearly exposed as she walked over to one of the seats, letting her long legs cross over one-another.
"So.. now that you've officially ruined my bath, you will stand there and tell me what you want," noting his discomfort and taking pleasure each and every moment of it.
Lucian --- Lucian had not expected these words to come from such a face, then again he has been surprised many times before. What kind of Lady acts out in such a corse manner he wondered as he tried to stand, calming himself and slowing his heart. He seemed unaffected by the cold as the rooms own temperature was lowering due to the now cold bath tub. Lucian grimaced as it was such a nice bath tub to begin with, now his eyes moving from the floor to her 'Ladyship'. Trying to place the Attitude with that of the Stories he had heard, perhaps time would tell him more.
"Even if you will it... I cannot defrost the Bath, nor can I heat the room... As for why I came here, if I was warned before hand this would never have happened. Why would a Lady deign to meet a Man if she was bathing? have you no sense of decency... pardon me... that is not what I... oh this whole ordeal is painful. If only I could mark back the clock and re-enact my story, alas I cannot. I am here to ask for a place upon your Ship... Impertinent and Rude perhaps, but I have yet to lie to you... ask me something and I would answer gladly..."
With that, rant, he was regaining his own confidence, his cheeks still slightly red as he was overly embarrassed by what had happened. The Image being etched into his mind was a side effect that would perhaps haunt him forever. He stood there in his Jacket and pants, a picture of a Gentlemen, with a great many secrets. Yet due to this blunder of his, he had broken down his arguing factors and was going along a very different approach.
Natolie --- Rolling her eyes, she looked back at her bath, knowing that it was going to be a long time before she could finally relax into it's warm depths. Lifting her hands, she rubbed her temples, slowly slipping into the chair in a rather floppy manner.
"You can't defrost my bath... but you can turn it into an icicle. Lovely..." her fingers slowly dropping off her face as she lifted her eyes to him once more, "and where would I put you? As the cook? No...." her voice sarcastic, "You might poison me, considering you very nearly froze me to death," lifting herself from her chair, she walked over to him, her body but mere inches from his own as she stared up into his face with a look of annoyance, disgust and slight leisure, "I think not.." eyes, once a pale jade green now a deep emerald in the flickering candle light...
Lucian --- Lucian arched an eyebrow as he watched the Lady, this Woman was many things, but Modest and or Lady-like she was not. Taking in a short breath as his breath came out as mist due to the cold, he wondered if he should do something as he listened to her speak. The flimsy robe she bore was no protection to the unnatural freezer he had accidentally created.
"I can be many things, but I am but a Gentlemen... I have been dealing with people and talking to them for a long while, I know the ins and outs of Nobility, from the Tropical West to the Oriental East... My words have swayed many people and I can help you do the same... As for poisoning you, do not dare accuse me of such. I would never use poison, also you used the word Might, thereby I could be perfectly fine... Lastly nearly Freezing you to death, was your fault. I was not the one bare and in a bath tub where I would scare the wits of a Random Gent. You M'lady... need to learn a Ladies Manner, as you will never sound like one. Oh, One more thing. If I wished you harm you would not be alive..."
Raising a hand as he smiled at the Lady, still she had not given her his name, nor had he. They were arguing like two cats in a pen, then again he was no cat. His hand palm raised heavenward, the air over the Tub began to grow distorted as a Ice began to form on nothing at all, the room growing a lot colder as he froze the very air, the ice dropping into the tub with a crack as he lowered his hand again.
"Now... Please take my Coat, you will catch your death from this cold..."
Without a thought, as if by repetitive action, he shifted his shoulders back and let his jacket slide from his being, catching it with one hand. He swept it around and held it there in a way that she could slip it on if she wanted to. All the while, strangely he was smiling, even after all he had said and done.
Natolie --- Eyes rising to his rather breathy speech, all she could do was laugh afterward, deciding that maybe she did like this stranger. Shaking her head, she grabbed hold of the coat from out of his hands and whirred it about till it rested comfortably on her shoulders. Looking up into his eyes once more, her brow lifted and that smile echoed on her lips. Sighing, she walked over to the bell tug, pulling the rope as long dong vibrated the room and most of the building.
"Well? Don't just stand there! I'm freezing.. out the door, out the door," her hands waving before her as she shooed him forward. Taking long strides towards the door herself, she opened it up just in time for the elderly maidens to appear, "Take care of this.. umm.. mishap," then pushed past them as they bowed and walked inside, already making way to undo this 'gentleman's' mistake.
"My name is Natolie Destral, Head Lady and Founder of the Destral Family, and Ship Captain of *Maiden's Voyage*," tilting her head back as she continued to walk down the hall, heading straight for Lord's and Lady's Room, though at the current moment, it wasn't in use, "and who are you?"
Lucian --- Lucian still smiling his happy little smile, his eyes bright but showing his ever tired notions as they kept drifting to a half open stance. Stifling a yawn before it showed, he exited and then began to Follow Natolie. Sighing lightly as she ordered her servants to clean up their mishap. Though he knew more than likely she believed it to be his Fault, it was more her fault than anything else.
"You M'lady... may be known as Natolie Destral, may be a Captain and a Founder of a Family Line. But you still act like a Fourteen year old girl... whom usually gets whatever she wishes, that is what I can make out from how you speak and act since I first... emm... set eyes on you..."
He spoke clearly at first, like an elder speaking upon the mistakes of someone they wanted to help. Though at the last half, he began to blush and this forced him into concentrating on something else, lest he freeze something else and / or fall paralyzed. He must never do such in front of Natolie, who knew what she would do to his unmoving body.
"My name, by the way... is Lucian, Lucian Dewayne Chevalier... you may call me Lucian..."
Yes, he was stating such as if it were a Right of his to give his name. Which is true, yet he had yet to call Natolie by her name, only that she may be known as such. The reason for such maybe something minor but for now it was shrouded by his assertive statements and kind words.
Natolie --- Stopping abruptly, she whirled about on the balls of her feet, the coat he lent her dropping to the floor as she glared at him. Then, without thinking, she moved over to him, her speed remarkable, as her hand darted out and slapped him harshly against his cheek.
Looking up into his eyes, she grabbed hold of his tunic, pulling him down so that she looked him straight in the face, not needing to look up but AT, "Please do remember that you are in MY home, and though you do not agree with MY attitude, I can just throw you out this castle in but a moment without hesitation," and with that, she let him go, and if he stumbled back.. he stumbled back, not caring in the slightest.
Walking over to the door, she stopped for just a few brief seconds to grab hold of the door, throwing it behind her to let it land on the man's shoulder. Angrily thumping down the hall, only 7 more paces and she was at the door, grabbing hold of the handle and pushing it open.
Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she walked slowly into the room, unfastening her robe and letting it slip off. Before the man had time to enter, she was already slipping on a pair of chaps and a white blouse, not caring that she worn nothing underneath.
Looking up, hearing his footfalls close to the door, she was strapping on her belted sheath, letting the sword she held sliding into it's holdings.
Lucian --- Lucian as he was hit, did not show as much surprise as he did when he saw her in the bathroom. He just smiled as his head turned with the movement, blinking as he watched her move away after speaking of such indignation. He would catch his Coat and replace it upon his shoulders, though before he walked to the door, he let out a chuckle as if he were amused or was enjoying what was happening. Upon reaching the door, he dared not go into a room where he knew the Lady was without knocking. So raising a hand he rapped his Knuckles against it's planes.
"Lady Destral... I may be a Stranger within your House. But I am only speaking the truth... Do you wish me to only speak lies within your presence... that would be hard, but I could do so... Wisdom never comes with the knowledge to use it, M'lady"
With that, he opened to door slowly and would stand there in the portal and raise an eye at Natolie's clothes, this time around he was ready for the differences and slowed his heart in response to the unfathomable feelings he had for other human beings. Cursing his inner heart, he continued to smile as he looked away from her, his cheeks turning lightly red.
"You know... Lady Destral, you would look stunning in a Dress..."
Natolie --- Rolling her eyes, she let her hand rest on the hilt of her sword as she slowly paced the room, itself nearly bare besides the necessary things to get by from day to day. However, as her eyes roamed, she couldn't help but like the cozy feeling it gave. Turning, she walked towards one of the large windows, pulling open the curtains to let the sun's light grace the room.
"Please, Lucian, stop calling me 'Lady', alright?" her eyes tilting back to look at him before she continued to peer out the window, a look of sudden sadness and deep thought outlining her tense face, "I didn't ask for the title, nor was I born into high society.. I'm NOT a Lady.." turning slowly, she looked at him with a grim sort of determination, "I'm a Pirate."
Lucian --- Lucian still smiled, his half open blue eyes watched her move as he stepped into the room. She was overly hostile and was asserting herself as if she had something to lose, what would she lose if she accepted these things. It was like she wanted to be born a Man instead, perhaps it may have suited the world but it did not turn out like that.
"No, Lady Destral, you may still be a Pirate, but that does not take from your Title... nor does it stop me from speaking such. At best I can call you Miss Destral, against my better judgement and manner... To be a Lady, you do not need to be born into the society. By being a person whom takes care of their own and keeps those about them happy and safe is what a Lady is... then again, maybe I've spoken poorly at this moment in time..."
He moved his hand to his chin, stroking it lightly, he began to ponder openly. It was obvious about what he had said, Natolie has yet to make claims or even show her understanding of what a Lady was. Then again, she may not even wish it on herself. So how and why were questions he was not going to ask till later.
"Now, M'lady... perhaps you should put more clothes on. Your barely dry and being around myself... well, you can still catch a Cold"
Natolie --- "I wish you would just call me 'Natolie' like everyone else does, or at least Cap'n..." her voice wispy before she heard his last question. Laughing slightly, she placed her hands on her hips, the tight chaps she wore forming her bottom frame nicely. Swaying over to him, she walked up until she was barely a few inches away, looking up into his soft eyes.
"Come come.. I'm a Pirate.. this is what I wear. You can't expect me to change that just for you?" her voice alluring as she snickered, "And anyways, I'm comfortable. That's all that matters," Lifting her hand, she placed the tips of her fingers against his cheek and patted it causally, as if he were the child now.
Turning she let her hand rest back on the hilt of her sword, thinking quickly before making way to one of the high backed chairs. Flumping herself down into it, one leg resting over the arm of the chair as one arm folded onto her stomach.
"So.. you still have yet to answer my question. What position would you take aboard my ship? Though, might I add, with your high morals and standards, I'm shocked you want to join..." her eyes dancing with mischief as she looked at him
Lucian --- Lucian smiling still, never moved as she danced around like a promiscuous sprite, sighing however as he was accused of things he had no say in. He glanced away from her because he noticed a great many things and was trying not to lose himself.
"Yes, Lady Destral... you are a Pirate and you can wear such, but I was not talking about a Dress or a skirt... I was talking of Undergarments... a Brasier in particular... I do not expect you to change at all. That is probably why I'm here, I've seen much of to world and I come to change the fates of others. As I said I work well with people... I can turn words and phrases, letting others believe that they are in control... I never need to lie because the truth is so much easier to manipulate. My Morals and Standards are not as high as you might believe, it is just that each persons views on the world are different..."
With that, he turned to watch her with casual eyes and a glancing smile. She maybe treating him like a child, but that was what she was to him.
Natolie --- Looking up at him, she finally realized what he was uncomfortable about, but that only made her laugh a bit. For some reason, making him blush or fidget, or whatever it was that he did made her smile, and being such as she is with very little emotion beyond anger and greed, she had no modesty nor any energy to put something more "decent" on.
"Sit, Lucian.. you're making me nervous," her voice soft and playful, "Very well, I see what you are saying.. and I suppose it makes sense...." her face oddly scrunched up, "Your skills may very well come in handy then. I need a negotiator, and you seem like the perfect man," if he showed any sign of shock on his face, which she highly doubted as she looked up into his eyes, it would be towards what she just spoke, "Please, don't be too surprised. I a merchant trader as well as a pirate.."
Lucian --- Lucian registered not a ounce of surprise in her words, the only things that surprised him were usually too surprising to act against. Like the bathroom incident and many others like it, he didn't cope well with emotions and tried to keep them at bay by only showing one or none at all. But smiling always seemed to bring out the best and the worst in people as he begins to become unnerving at times.
"How am I making you Nervous, Lady Destral... you are a Pirate, you should Fear no mere man... As for the station, I accept... though, I am far from perfect. I was many things, Merchant was one of them. Courtier was another... I fulfill many job descriptions, but in the end, having a silver tongue and the ability to turn any heart with my sincerity is my Greatest ability."
He answered and spoke, watching Natolie and yet not moving, he wasn't going to sit just yet. Not unless she answered his question, as for his abilities, well he kept them to himself and fairly few people knew of his powers to freeze things. Swaying lightly, he yawned into a closed fist as he blinked towards Natolie, waiting for her answers.
Natolie ---Laughing, she just stared at him so for a few seconds before replying, "Ya know, I can't figure out if I like you, or hate you Lucian. But for now, you have my approval," smiling as such she once again pointed towards a chair, "Having no fear is for fools, Lucian, especially for a pirate. Fear keeps me on my toes, when lacking it would make me stubborn and foul-hardy. I thought you knew that," her eyes searching him.
Squirming back and forth for a moment, debating on what she was going to do, she finally caved in, flinging back the covers and letting her feet sidled off theside. Bare toes resting on cold, wooden floors as she grasped the slippers and placed each foot into one.
